i absolutely love this store. it is SO big and so cheap with really good clothes. i am REALLY REALLY upset- you cant even imagine it- that they are going out of buisiness. i got a whole outfit- shoes, shirt, and pants for less than 15 dollars. i LOVE it, but i am really upset they are closing this one in CHAMBERSBURG, PA.. i wish they would at least keep THIS one open <3

Steve and Barry Update

By the end of 2008 Steve and Barry planned to liquidate all remaining stores filing chapter 11 bankruptcy and closing its doors for good. On January 30, 2009, all remaining corporate employees were laid off marking the end of Steve & Barry's. The stores listed on this page was the Steve and Barry locations at their zenith.

Steve & Barry's is an American retail clothing chain, featuring casual apparel.

As of June 2008 , it operates more than 300 stores in over 40 states. The company has its headquarters in Port Washington, New York.

The chain's origins are based on various college campuses across the United States. Until 2007, it was called "Steve & Barry's University Sportswear", and the chain specialized in college-related apparel and private-label casual clothing. The chain dropped the "University Sportswear" tagline after securing licensing agreements with several celebrities to develop and distribute private-label lines of clothing designed or inspired by each of them, in an attempt to expand the chain's customer base.
