Description
As far as we know, there are no established nude swimming spots on the Mississippi mainland. However, a remote corner of Ship Island off of Gulfport's coast attracts nudists with some regularity. Ship Island is accessbile by passenger ferry of private boat from Gulfport.

My wife and I loved it here. Just walk all the way around to the back side. You barely see another person at all unless they're naked also

The wife and I loved it! The island that the ferry goes to is approximately 3 miles long but the overwhelming majority of tourist stay within 200 feet of the dock on the south side of the island. We simply walk east about a mile and strip off. We've never had a problem or been bothered by anyone. Keep in mind, there is nothing out there so if you need it, pack it.

Have been going here for years. Last summer Ranger got on my case about being naked. The place is nice. Lots of beach for privacy. Bring everything you need , water, suntan lotion, etc. Go to beach side and head east (left) till you don't see anyone clothed. All the people I've run into have been nice, except for the last female ranger. If ranger isn't there anymore I would give it 4 stars.

Different rangers have different approaches. As long as you don't set up too close to groups with kids u should be fine. Keep in mind that the "family" area on the north side varies in location from year to year depending on beach and water conditions. Plenty of room for all though.

Awesome spot. Just got back from there today. An awesome day. The sun was out. A breeze was blowing. Quite a few boats pulled up to the island and all were textile visitors. I kept my distance and covered of when others approached, but otherwise it was a very nice, secluded spot.
