Camp Woof

Although our dogs seemed to always enjoy their visits at Camp Woof, the husband of the owner is completely unreasonable and, frankly, seems a little less than stable. He forgets he is running a business and treats his customers poorly. My husband called to book our dogs a few months out from a particular boarding date, and when he did not know the exact time we would be dropping off (but promised to call with an update a week or two out), Linn cursed at him, told him he is always so fcking busy, and hung up on him. This was completely out of the blue as far as we could tell. I smoothed things over with the wife and our dogs visited another time or two. Several months later, however, I got the husband (Linn) by phone when I called, and completely unprovoked, he told me my husband is, quote, always a pain in the ass. I was shocked that someone I had nothing more than a business relationship with would treat his customers so unprofessionally. I do not want my dogs anywhere they are not wanted, and I will not be boarding with Camp Woof in the future.

About Pet Shelters (Cat, Dog and Puppy Adoption)

A pet shelter or animal shelter is a facility that provides short term housing for stray cats, kittens, dogs and puppies while an attempt is made to find the animals adoptive homes. Generally speaking, puppies and kittens are adopted more quickly than adult cats or dogs. Nevertheless, older animals can make terrific pets, and many pet shelters encourage visitors to consider older animals as well as... Read More

From Wikipedia

An animal shelter is a facility that houses homeless, lost or abandoned animals; primarily a large variety of dogs and cats. The animal is kept at the shelter until it is either reclaimed by an owner, adopted to a new owner or placed with another organization. In the past, they were more commonly referred to as "dog pounds", a term which had its origins in the pounds of agricultural communities, where stray cattle would be penned up until claimed by their owners.

Some animal shelters humanely euthanize animals that are not adopted within a set period of time, others have a policy of only putting down animals that are in distress due to age or illness.
