One star. Ordering chicken story. Here is why. My family went there to order 4 whole chickens and to be cut up correctly. Obviously a big dinner plan at home with friends and family. We come back home and each packet is missing some part of the chicken. One packet is missing 2 legs. One packet is missing a breast piece. One packet is missing thigh pieces. 2 packets was missing wings...all four. What part of "whole chicken" is not clear? We went back and to store the next day to address the issue. In return we hear in response the "weight was charged accordingly"...correct but why are there no missing bones? Why do we have 6 neck pieces? The bones filled half the package. Whole chicken means give me the whole chicken! They were unwilling to correct their mistake and they gave the excuse then people don't like "the big chickens" and don't like large weight so the take out pieces. They obviously sell those as separate packs to mark up the value and sell "legs only" or "thighs only". I can't believe they asked us to bring back all the meat packets as if we didn't have to work with what we have and cook dinner for our party Whole chicken means whole chicken. Friends - just check your meat ;)

Just as orthodox Jews can only eat kosher foods, practicing muslims are supposed to follow relatively strict dietary restrictions laid out in the Koran. In Islam, eating many certain types of meat is forbidden,... Read More

...including: carnivorous animals, birds of prey, and animals slaughtered improperly (the proper method being a quick slice of the carotid artery, windpipe, and jugular that leaves the spinal cord intact). Other types of forbidden food includes alcoholic drinks as well as all other intoxicants, pharmaceuticals not excluded.

Devout muslims cannot shop at any old grocery store; they must buy their meat from Halal Meat Markets and Halal Grocery Stores, which sell only halal meat and other permissible groceries. This includes halal chicken, halal beef, and any other meats that have received a halal certification. There is much overlap between kosher meat and halal meat laws, and practicing muslims and jews will sometimes shop at each others' grocery stores when other options aren't available. In areas with particularly high muslim concentrations, like Dearborn, Michigan, chain restaurants like McDonalds and KFC have begun offering halal fried chicken alternatives to their regular menus.
