Leeland Greens Nudist Community

WE used Leeland Greens for 5 days during our vacation. My wife and 3 children. We had a great time, the weather was not on our side, but this summer we look forward to coming back. It is very private as they say, and the folks we met were very good people.

Visited in Summer of 2010 with wife. We had a blast.....Until the last 10 minutes at the grounds. Here is my honest opinion of the experience: We showed up on a Friday afternoon. Grounds were beautiful! We were tent camping and found the grounds to be well maintained. I was greeted at the desk. Owner was checking me in. He saw that wife and I were visitors for the first time at the grounds and wanted to know why we drove 3 hrs north to stay there. I explained that we wanted a new place to stay for a change. That was kinda odd. Instead of being appreciative he just thought we were crazy for driving so far. He offered a tour, and we accepted. We rec'd the tour and soon were setting up our tent and stuff. We immediately got nude and headed to pool area. The pool was stunning and perfect! We were greeted by friendly members and we had the perfect weekend.....UNTIL Sunday, Day of departure... Sunday morning was a great day. Weather was perfect and a couple of impromptu pool volleyball games were played in the crystal clear pool. Drinks were enjoyed by all and soon it.it was 3pm. As we were toweling off and reluctantly getting dressed for our three hour drive home, the 'Care taker of grounds' approached me and said that checkout time was at 11am without exceptions. I politely stated that we had a pre arranged agreement with the owners during our check in that we wanted to stay until mid day on Sunday. Like a jerk, he stated that he was unaware of the agreement, and I kinda ignored him. In my mind, it wasn't his business, and I had permission from the owner. We were gathering our towels and saying a quick goodby to the kind members of the resort and the owner walked up to us in front of the other members and stated that we needed to leave. I was shocked, and reminded him of the agreement. He just stared at us with a blank look, and we were COMPLETLY embarrassed. We immediately offered him money for the misunderstanding. He refused any money, and we quickly left the grounds. As we left, we were still mortified that we were wrongly accused for what felt like "stealing", and it completely ruined our perfect naked weekend together. We are honest people, and would never try to steal, cheat, or do anything morally wrong. We are in our late thirties, and are financially secure enough to pay for services rendered. Needless to say, we will never return, as the owner didn't care to even be interested in listening to us try to explain ANYTHING we had to say. Here are the pros and cons of our stay: Pros: very nice grounds, very clean pool, very clean bathrooms, Friendly members (got invited to Breakfast, Located in a beautiful area of MI, not crowded at all, members went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Cons: owners & staff Results: We will never return again, as we don't feel like we ever could if we wanted to. It's a damn shame, we really liked that place and we were considering in becoming members.

...past few decades among nudists, mainly due to its negative connotations among non-nudists, it's inherent connection with imperialism (i.e. colonies), and the fact that the term isn't used by European naturists.

If living in a nude colony represents the extreme of the naturist lifestyle, and simply visiting the occasional clothing-optional beach represents the other extreme, then modern naturist resorts, naturist parks, and naturist camps fall somewhere in the middle. The inhabitants of these sites tend to be temporary visitors (e.g. vacationers or day visitors), and live in non-nude communities on a permanent basis (although they may practice nudism in their own home). Some nudist resorts, camps, and parks require that visitors belong to the INF (International Naturist Federation) and have strict child protection regulations. This is not always the case, however, and many of the nude resorts and camps on this map will allow any sort of visitor or family. At nudist resorts and camps, all activities are either clothing-optional or nudity required, including swimming, tennis, and pretty much everything other than meals.
