Outdoor Public Pools Locations Locator Map and Directory

This map shows outdoor public pools across the US. As can be expected, there are relatively more outdoor pools compared to indoor pools in regions with warmer climates, as all outdoor pools close in winter months. Outdoor pools are often but not always heated, and will nearly always be treated with some sort of purification chemical (e.g. chlorine or salt water). Many outdoor pools are outfitted with recreational equipment such as diving boards and swimming lanes, especially in competition pools. While the standard (and Olympic) outdoor pool size is 50 m (160 ft) in length by 25 m (82 ft), these dimensions are by no means required for each pool. The majority of the locations on this map belong to recreational complexes that will also have changing rooms with lockers and showers. Some pools may also have lifeguards (please call ahead for details).
