SCOTTSDALE MODEL FLYERS
10717 N 103RD WAY
SCOTTSDALE, AZ
This club was recommended to me by some RC flying buddies. I went down there this morning to sign up. The wind was blowing at 21 MPH at 8:11 this morning (2/9/2011) and since the access road to the aerodrome is a dirt path on private property, it kicked up more dust than usually would be the case. I was greeted by 4 old geezers accusing me of speeding in there like a "bat out of hell". These old farts have nothing better to do than try to oppress and falsely accuse. I thought maybe it was just me. I left and watched to see how they would treat another friend of mine whom I was meeting there. They pulled the same nonsense on him, accusing him of speeding based on their warped perception from the 21 MPH wind driving up a dust cloud. I spoke to Craig at Scottsdale Community College Public Safety office and he says the speed limit on that road that is on private property is 25 MPH. With the 21 MPH wind this morning, the dust cloud would be flying at 2 MPH. Too bad that old age didn't teach these old farts wisdom and forbearance. Shame on them.
