Anderson Roll Arena Inc

Roll Arena, though a smaller rink in comparison, has a decent floor surface that rivals most of the quite larger rinks that i have skated at,but i give them 2 stars only because of 1)very poor counter service at the snack bar. 2)out dated skate rentals. 3)Poorly Maintained Restrooms.4)out dated seating.5)NO-PRO-SHOP.6)N0 arcade games what so ever.7)FRI@SAT Nights Packed with small Children,so speed skaters have to be extra alert...8)NO Coat Check, only pay lockers,That are only 12X12x12 cubes.9)Hours of Operation,horrible...your only open 12 hours FOR THE WHOLE WEEK.....HELLO...10)you really need to have later hours, especially on the week-end,no one under curfew age after 10,then you could be open later for the rest of us.

About Roller Rinks (Roller Skating)

From Wikipedia

Roller skating is traveling on smooth terrain with roller skates. It is a form of recreation as well as a sport, and can also be a form of transportation. Skates generally come in two basic varieties: inline skates, and traditional quad skates, though some have experimented with a single-wheeled "quintessence skate" or other variations on the basic skate design.

About Roller Rinks (Roller Skating) (Continued)

Roller Rinks (Roller Skating) logo

...roller rink is a hard surface used for roller skating or inline skating. This includes roller hockey, speed skating, and recreational skating. Roller rinks can be located in an indoor or outdoor facility.

Roller Rink History:

The post-World War Two baby boom also saw a boom in roller rinks across the United States in cities and towns large and small. Having a roller skating birthday party became something of a rite of passage for American children in the 1950s, '60's, and '70's. While a handful of roller rinks became known more for being hangouts for street gangs than a source for wholesome family fun, these were far from the norm. Roller rinks in the US underwent significant changes in the 1970s. New plastics led to improved skate wheels—ones providing a smoother, quieter ride—and easier-to-maintain skate floors. The Disco craze from popular 1970s culture led to another increase in the popularity of roller rinks—or roller discos, as some became. Gone were the staid lighting and old-fashioned organ music as a generally older clientele replaced children, skating under mirror balls and special lights to disco beats. The end of the Disco Era and the advent of inline roller skates hit the roller rink industry hard, with many rinks closing. However, as had happened throughout history, most rink owners adapted and survived the economic storm. Roller derby, a professional sport of the 1950s and 1960s once considered virtually dead, has seen a rebirth in popularity in the early 21st century with amateur and semi-pro teams forming leagues nationwide. Many rink owners support this activity, along with roller hockey, speed skating, and roller figure skating contests.
