Free Food Samples
Added February 22nd, 2012

Who doesn't like free food samples.  More and more food store chains are offering free samples to customers while they are shopping.  As more chains provide free samples others follow suit to keep up with the competition.   I know I love going to Costco and trying all their free food offerings....especially  on Fridays and weekends when the free samples are particularly abundant.

This map shows the food chains that offer free samples on an ongoing basis.   If you know of any food chains that you think should be added to this map please send us your free food suggestion and we will research it to be sure that the suggested chain offers free food samples on an on going basis and add it to our map.    Happy sampling!

Food Network fans: Have you ever wanted to visit the restaurants featured on your favorite traveling food shows? Watching hosts such as Guy Fieri and Rachel Ray sample delicious and strange cuisine from restaurants across the country provides some degree of vicarious appetite-whetting, but it's no replacement for trying the restaurants for yourself in real life. This map shows the location of every restaurant featured on the Food Work's dozen or so traveling food shows. With nearly 3,000 locations across the USA, the odds are some of the Food Network restaurants you've seen on TV are just short drive away. So get off your couch, get in your car, and explore restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, $40 a Day, Outrageous Food, Best Thing I Ever Ate, Giada's Weekend Getaways, FoodNation with Bobby Flay, Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Cupcake Wars, Feasting on Asphalt, Kid in a Candy Store, Meat & Potatoes, Food Feuds, Crave, Heat Seekers, Sugar High, Restaurant: Impossible, The Great Food Truck Race, and more.

A short rundown of some of the shows to refresh your memory:

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives: Host Guy Fieri road trips across the USA in search of the best Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. DD&D is one of the Food Network's most popular shows.

$40 a Day: Host Rachel Ray goes on daytrips to American and European cities with a strict food budget of $40.

Outrageous Food: Host Tom Pizzica travels the country in search of strange and over-the-top dishes.

The Best Thing I Ever Ate: Various Food Network stars (including Bobby Flay, Tyler Florence, Giada, and Paula Dean) show us where they like to eat when they're not cooking for themselves.

Cupcake Wars: Boutique cupcakeries across the country challenge each other in various baking competitors.

Restaurant: Impossible: Chef Robert Irvine is given a $10K budget to turn around failing restaurants.
