About Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is a chain of Southern cuisine restaurants and gift stores. Founded in 1969 in Lebanon, Tennessee, there are now over 660 Cracker Barrel locations spread across 43 states, with most restaurants situated in Midwestern and Southeastern USA. The vast majority are located along interstate highways to serve the traveling public. Restaurants are decorated in imitation of antiquated general stores, with stone fireplaces, front porches with rocking chairs, and authentic antiques scattered around the dining area. The menu has a distinctly Southern focus, and is filled with down-home, comfort foods such as Homestyle Chicken, Chicken n' Dumplins, and Hickory Smoked Country Ham. Cracker Barrel serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
